A dramatic equalizer at the last minute led to a penalty shootout, but the first kicker missed and lost 5-4, confirming relegation after 18 years.



When Saint-Etienne, a famous house of tradition that boasted the most wins in the first division, fell, angry home fans poured out, and the ground was engulfed in fear.



Fans threw burning flames towards the entrance of the team, and some players were injured in the head while fleeing to the locker room.



The French league is also known for frequent crowd violence in Europe, but it suffered from violence until the end of the season.
