• Protagonist The complainant of Luis Rubiales, an acquaintance of the Football Federation

The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has taken a statement this morning from

Juan Rubiales

, uncle and former chief of staff of the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF),

Luis Rubiales

.

The Public Ministry has summoned whoever was the right hand of the head of Spanish football at ten in the morning in the framework of the proceedings that are open to determine the possible commission of irregularities at the head of the federative body.

As EL MUNDO has learned, Juan Rubiales has been questioned as a witness in the investigations opened after the complaint filed by

Miguel Galán

, president of the National Training Center for Football Coaches, based on information published in recent weeks by ' The confidential'.

Rubiales was removed from his position as Chief of Staff and relegated to other RFEF offices after breaking up with his relative after arguing about how to manage the institution.

In this way, this historical journalist continues on the payroll of the entity that governs Spanish football but is far from the decision-making nucleus and works in some RFEF offices in the center of Madrid.

Precisely Galán has just launched a new legal action against Rubiales by filing a criminal complaint for the crimes of corruption in business and unfair administration.

The new complaint, which has been registered in the court of first instance and investigation of Majadahonda, focuses, among others, on the operation to transfer the Spanish Super Cup to Saudi Arabia.

In this sense, the complaint is also directed at the FC Barcelona footballer

Gerard Piqué

, who agreed to collect a millionaire commission through his company Kosmos.

The complaint maintains that Piqué and Rubiales "agreed on a plan to profit from 24 million euros" through a "conspiracy at the expense of the RFEF" while "hiding the aforementioned commission and disguising it with documents, pretending that the payment was produced by a third party ", referring to Saudi Arabia.
