Victor Nilsson Lindelöf resigned from the Nations League squad.

In came instead the relatively unknown midfielder Edvin Kurtulus, 22. A wise choice, thinks SVT's football expert Daniel Nannskog.

- It is smart to take him in to lock him in Sweden.

My feeling is that the national team management is more alert to courting players who have several national team choices, says Nannskog.

Edvin Kurtulus has represented Kosovo at U21 level, but now chooses games for Sweden and makes his first collection with a Swedish national team.

"Not surprised if he starts"

Kurtulus has done two seasons in Halmstad before joining Hammarby before this season.

- What I like about him is the ability to take the ball forward and past forwards in the first press.

There he is brilliant.

He also has a size and physique that is good and a good playing foot, says Nannskog and continues:

- He has done well in Hammarby and is good in offensive solid situations where he has been sharp and scored two goals this season.

In addition to the Hammarby hill, the squad includes the following midfielders: Hjalmar Ekdal (Djurgården), Alexander Milosevic (AIK), Joakim Nilsson (Arminia Bielefeld) and Carl Starfelt (Celtic).

- I think Kurtulus can start a match.

There is a lot to see and learn for him this time, but I would not be surprised if Janne Andersson starts him in one of these matches.
