Blablacar pitch trip with the Champions League final: 70 euros to go to Paris
The Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix is a tradition and a date marked in the month of May for fans of the F1 circus but also for lovers of luxury.
Around the Grand Prix, the big auction houses take the opportunity to "place" some of their jewels, such as a 1988 Porsche 959 Konfort that was sold on May 13 for 1.43 million euros.
Or the Williams FW14 F1 that Nigel Mansell raced in 1991 and that RM Sothebys placed for 4.3 million.
But not only classic cars are sold for astronomical figures.
There are also unique quirks.
Luxury is exclusivity and in this Rolls-Royce boasts of being the most luxurious car brand in the world.
Rolls-Royce
surprised by unveiling the
Boat Tail
.
Simply
the most expensive new car on the planet
.
The
more than 20 million euros
that they point to as their bill supersede, by far, the Bugari La Voiture Noire.

personal whim
Now the British firm of the BMW Group has unveiled the
second Rolls-Royce Boat Tail
.
The project contemplates the manufacture (by hand and completely by hand except for the chassis made by robots) of
three units
, each one of them with a
personal history
of its billionaire (and secret), owner.
In the case of the Boat Tail II, an
entrepreneur in the pearling industry
.
This owner's commission (of which Rolls-Royce hints that he is a famous
classic car collector who exhibits them in a
private museum) is a
tribute to his father
, who made his fortune with pearls... in which has inspired for car
customization
.

In fact, to give life to the 'hull' of the second Boat Tail, a car
inspired by the
sports yachts of the beginning of the century, hence its name, a color has been used that comes from the
fusion of four pearl shells
owned by the client,
oyster
,
soft pink
,
bronze
and
white mica
tones
.
According to Rolls-Royce, this unit has
"one of the most complex finishes ever created by the brand"
.
Because in addition the exterior is not monochrome but the hood is cognac, with touches of bronze and a matte finish that is so popular now and not only in luxury cars but also in series.

But the
rear deck
is the most specific part of this car, since it is the one that captures the
nautical inspiration
.
In this case it has been created in
walnut wood
with rose gold plating.
Logically, and to fit in with the ensemble, the
Spirit of
Ecstasy figurine is also forged in rose gold.
Details
The
interior
follows the color and material pattern of the bodywork, with walnut wood, cognac leather, rose gold as the predominant materials.
A
piece of mother-of-pearl watchmaking
stands out , which comes from the owner's own collection and which takes on a strong role in its
refined dashboard
.

With the first Boat Tail, this second unit will share its very elegant aesthetics, favored by its
almost 5.3 meters in length
and some of its peculiarities, such as the spectacular
mobile rear deck
- whose design is inspired by the works of
Santiago Calatrava
- which leaves in sight a
picnic kit
consisting of chairs, parasol, refrigerator and refined cutlery.
Suitcases travel by plane...
The majestic setting of
Lake Como
, in Italy, will be the venue for the debut of such a special car, as part of the no less exclusive
Villa D'Este Concours d'Elegance.
