Last year's professional baseball batting champion Lee Jung-hoo is challenging another phenomenal record.

Until yesterday (26th), he has not struck out once in 85 consecutive at-bats, setting a record for the 'lowest strikeout rate' ever.

This is reporter Bae Jung-hoon.

After being struck out by KT Young-pyo Ko on the 30th of last month, Lee Jeong-hoo has not struck out even a single strikeout in 85 consecutive at-bats in 21 games.

Lee Jung-hoo, who struck out just three in the month of April, is only 1.6% striking out per at bat this season.

This is a phenomenal record that is lower than the record-low 2.3% strikeout rate recorded by Kim Il-kwon in 1988.

Considering that in the early days of professional baseball, there were far more so-called 'tick-tock hitters' centered on singles who didn't strike out often, Lee's record is even more surprising.

Jung-hoo Lee is refusing to strikeout with his amazing ability to hit the ball.

He's had only 15 huts in 191 at-bats this season, and only three huts, especially when he's on the verge of a two-strike.

[Lee Jung-hoo/Kiwoom: As the pitcher tries to make in-play batted balls by any means, the percentage of wasted swings seems to decrease little by little.]

With a batting average of 30 to 3 pennies in the season, Jung-hoo Lee is the batting champion for two years in a row and the lowest strikeout rate ever. We are also challenging the record.
