100 female players compete in the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy Blitz Chess Championship

The Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy has announced the launch of the fourth edition of the Blitz Chess Championship for women, which will be held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, President of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme President of the Family Development Foundation "Mother of the Nation".

The event will be held at the headquarters of the Abu Dhabi Women’s Club at five o’clock tomorrow evening, and the number of participants so far is approximately 100 players, the most prominent of whom are 4 players who hold the title of a great international master, such as: Maria Kevorkian from Armenia, Mehri Guldyaeva from Turkmenistan, Alina Nekruzova from Ukraine, Alexandra Grishna from Russia, in addition to the state's elite players, among the champions of the age groups, and international players residing in the Emirates.

The tournament is scheduled to follow the Swiss system of seven rounds of the lightning system, with competitors of all nationalities participating, starting from the age of 7 years.

The organizing committee allocated valuable prizes for the tournament amounting to 33,000 thousand dirhams, including special prizes for the best players in various categories, especially the category of people of determination.
