"Gulf United" is the champion of the first edition of the third division

Gulf United were crowned champions of the first edition of the Third Division Football League yesterday, after defeating Fleetwood United, 3-1, in the final match that took place at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai.

Gulf United's Puneet Popeye scored, and Nana will score "two goals", while Fleetwood Jack Shells, Gulf's player, scored an own goal.

Gulf United qualified at the expense of its star rival in the semi-finals, losing 0-1 in the first leg, and winning 2-0 in the second round. On the other hand, Fleetwood United qualified by overcoming the sports support by winning 2-1 back and forth.

Twelve teams participated in the first edition of the third league, which included Inter City, Sports Support, Gulf United, Sands, Madinat, De Gardens United, who played in Group A during the first round, and Zamalek teams, Al-Nujoom, Al Gharbia, Fleetwood United, Royal, Elite Falcons in the second group.
