Qatar allows residents to host fans in their homes during the 2022 World Cup and sets conditions

Only holders of the digital Haya card, in addition to citizens and residents, will be allowed to enter Qatar during the World Cup period, which will be hosted by the Gulf state between November 21 and December 18, 2022, organizers announced at a press conference in Doha today, Thursday.

Omar Al-Jaber, director of the official residence platform at the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, revealed that "desert camps" are among the options for fan villages, stressing that many other options will be presented soon.

Al Jaber revealed that the options for apartments, villas, residential complexes, floating hotels, fan villages and holiday homes are currently being offered through the official platform, stressing that holiday homes and hotels will also be available through other platforms.

Al-Jaber pointed out that each person residing in Qatar can receive 10 people from "relatives and friends" by registering the host's data on the official residence platform, while the guest must put the host's data on the digital Haya platform to obtain it directly.

The director of the digital residence platform confirmed that the number of people registered on the platform is constantly being “updated,” announcing that the platform received 3,000 requests on the first day of the launch on March 24.

Al-Jaber revealed that the average prices for accommodation will start at $80 per "night", and prices may change depending on the location and the type of accommodation chosen.
