In the second period against Canada, it was goalkeeper Linus Ullmark who kept Sweden in the lead.

The Canadians won the shots 19-1, but Ullmark took everything and saw Max Friberg lead 3-0.

Then everything collapsed in the third period and the rest is now dark Swedish hockey history.

After the match, Linus Ullmark was hailed by both teammates and opponents.

He saved a total of 38 of 42 shots.

- Canada washed over us and peppered us with shots so we should be happy that we had Linus today, says Rasmus Dahlin to SVT Sport.

Dylan Cozens, teammate with Ullmark in Buffalo last year, tells SVT:

- He stood on his head and made an absolutely incredible match with several fantastic saves.

We just tried to stick to the plan and not get frustrated.

We knew that if we got a puck in, there could be more.

But Ullmark was good the whole match and is an incomparable goalkeeper.

Ullmark: "It sucks"

The 28-year-old from Lugnvik in Kramfors himself was disappointed.

He joined the squad during the current tournament after his Boston went out of the Stanley Cup in the first round.

- I'm disappointed.

It sucks to come here and leave so early, he says and continues:

- If you give opportunities to NHL players, it hits.

It must not be done in this way, especially on my part.

You have to step up when it comes to the most and not clap through in this way.

What do you mainly think about?

- Pick your poison, roughly.

It's about stopping more pucks than the guy on the other side.

We were 3-0 before the last period and there is no reason for this match to end with 4-3 in the back.

How was the match from your perspective when Canada pressed on?

- Cool.

It's fun to play hockey.

Fun to play against good players right through.

It is precisely the end result that sucks and there is nothing more to say about the matter, says Ullmark.
