Ten months later, the Chinese women's volleyball team once again boarded the flight to the international arena.

The 2022 World Women's Volleyball League will kick off on May 31.

The Chinese women's volleyball team flew from Guangzhou to Ankara, Turkey today, and the Paris cycle journey began.

On June 1, they will welcome the Netherlands, the first opponent of this competition, which is also the debut of the new Chinese women's volleyball team.

In the next month and a half, the Chinese women's volleyball team will compete and train in many places without returning to China.

Many young players in the team have never had a similar experience.

The first big exam for the new women's volleyball team has begun.

After a lapse of more than ten years, Cai Bin once again picked up the handsome seal of the Chinese women's volleyball team.

The scene of the Tokyo Olympics is still vivid in my mind.

In the hearts of many fans, the best team has taken a step-by-step process, but missed the best result.

This regret needs to be made up.

Although the memory of 2009 is not good, Cai Bin, 56, decided to take over the Chinese women's volleyball team again at this moment.

On the eve of the team's departure, Cai Bin told China-Singapore Sports about the different moods when he coached the Chinese women's volleyball team twice.

After that "unforgettable" experience, this time, he is eager to do his best for this team.

China-Singapore Sports: Since the assembly in mid-April, the new Chinese women's volleyball team has been preparing for more than a month in Zhangzhou.

How is the team doing recently, and in what areas has targeted training been carried out?

Cai Bin: The morale of the team is very good now, and the enthusiasm and commitment of the players in training are also very good.

Due to the relatively new lineup of the team, recent training has focused more on overall coordination, which has also formed a framework.

Physical fitness is another key point. After all, this time abroad is one and a half months, and physical fitness is very important to the team.

Injury prevention and disease prevention are also critical, and foreign countries may treat the epidemic differently from domestic ones. The team also has plans in this regard.

Going abroad to compete this time, the task is still relatively heavy.

During this time in Zhangzhou, the team entered the overall running-in period and determined the basic style of play.

But due to time constraints, there are some things that need to be filled in, and we haven't had time to finish.

With the unveiling of the World Women's Volleyball League, we will use practice to promote the competition and use it as a substitute.

China-Singapore Sports: Including the World Women's Volleyball League, what are the specific goals of the team this year?

Cai Bin: This year's World Women's Volleyball League is different from previous years in that it is linked to the points of the Paris Olympics.

Therefore, while training the team, we also need to consider the final results, taking into account both.

The Chinese women's volleyball team includes 24 players.

Before the start of each race, 14 people will be selected to participate in the competition, and players can be replaced between different stations.

Considering that the Chinese women's volleyball team is relatively new this time, the team needs to be tempered and run in through the game.

For the World Women's Volleyball League, our first step is to enter the top eight, and then continue to rush forward and work hard.

There is also the Women's Volleyball World Championships this year, and we must strive for good results.

These two events involve the world rankings of the Chinese women's volleyball team.

China-Singapore Sports: With the announcement of the list, Yuan Xinyue became the captain of the Chinese women's volleyball team.

How to evaluate her?

Cai Bin: From the perspective of age, time in the national team, qualifications of the Olympic champion and performance in this training camp, Yuan Xinyue is very qualified for the role of captain.

After becoming the captain, as the coach's right-hand man, Yuan Xinyue took on more than before.

I will give her a certain amount of relaxation, I hope she will not put too much pressure on herself, otherwise she will not be able to let go.

I hope Yuan Xinyue will dare to take on and fight hard on the court. At the same time, she should allow her mistakes, not carry too much burden, and be able to attack opponents boldly and openly.

China-Singapore Sports: What difficulties have you encountered since taking over the team?

Cai Bin: Difficulties can arise at any time, including technical or other aspects.

But I think that people who are engaged in competitive sports should not be afraid of difficulties, we should solve them.

Like in a game, the opponent is creating difficulties, and we need to overcome it in order to win.

For difficulties, I believe that the team will maintain a positive attitude, dare to challenge and face it.

Ideologically, we start with dedication to the country, collectivism, and fighting spirit, and build the overall team spirit.

China-Singapore Sports: The outside world is very concerned about the situation of Zhu Ting and Zhang Changning.

If they recover well, are they likely to participate in the World Championships?

Cai Bin: Not only Zhu Ting and Zhang Changning, but the door of the Chinese women's volleyball team is open to all players.

The team is constantly moving forward, and we will evaluate and measure according to the development of the team and the different circumstances of each person.

Our guiding ideology is that everyone must be willing to play for the country and the Chinese women's volleyball team. This must be done first.

China-Singapore Sports: The Chinese women's volleyball team left regrets at the Tokyo Olympics. It takes courage to take over the team at this time.

For the "Second Palace", the pressure may be even greater.

What prompted you to make this decision?

Cai Bin: The main reason is the love for volleyball.

In 2009, I was the head coach of the Chinese women's volleyball team.

At that time, I used four words to describe it: unforgettable.

In my opinion, there are many places worth summarizing and reflecting on yourself.

Through these years of training, at least in volleyball, I may be more comprehensive and mature now.

As for stress, I've thought about it too.

No matter which position you are in, there will be different pressures. The key lies in how you view pressure and the ability to withstand pressure.

Any coach is under pressure, but as the head coach of the Chinese women's volleyball team, you must do a better and more detailed job, because this team receives different levels of attention.

The Chinese women's volleyball team is a glorious team.

I entered the Chinese women's volleyball team with a mission and mission to continue to inherit and carry forward the spirit of the Chinese women's volleyball team.

I hope that every member of the Chinese women's volleyball team can use this spirit as a driving force.

So the first step, we have to play morale and domineering in the game.

I have confidence in this batch of Chinese women's volleyball players, we can still go forward.

China-Singapore Sports: How do you feel about coaching the Chinese women's volleyball team again after many years?

Cai Bin: The current conditions are better than in 2009.

For example, in terms of personnel, when I coached the Chinese women's volleyball team for the first time, I was just about to promote the main attack and serve, but at that time there were very few main attackers who could receive and play.

In recent years, the Chinese women's volleyball team has been developing to a high level, and according to its own characteristics, it has closely followed the trend of the world.

In terms of the comprehensiveness of technology, we must continue to work hard.

China-Singapore Sports: You described your last coaching experience as "unforgettable".

What to expect this time?

  Cai Bin: Do my best.

Do my best to lead the Chinese women's volleyball team.

This is not only in terms of performance, I hope to continue to pass on the team spirit and fighting spirit of the Chinese women's volleyball team.

We will divide different time periods, and hope that through the efforts of each stage, we can finally see results.
