Al Ain team won the ADNOC Professional Football League title for the 14th time in its history (a record) after ending the tournament with a 1-1 draw with its guest, Sharjah, in the “last” 26th round. Professional League Cup at the expense of Al-Ahly youth.

Al-Ain striker, Togolese international Laba Kodjo, was crowned the league's top scorer with 26 goals, 11 goals ahead of his rival, Al Wahda striker, Brazilian Joao Pedro, who has 15 goals.

The 26 goals that Laba scored during the current season raised his score to 58 goals in total, thus becoming the fourth player to score goals with the "leader" in history, a list that is topped by the former player and current assistant coach Ahmed Abdullah with 117 goals, and Ghanaian Asamoah Gyan ( 95 goals), and former player and current board member Majed Al Owais (86 goals).
