Hammarby took three important points in the derby against Djurgården on Monday night.

Ellen Wangerheim watched the match at home from bed.

- I have always known that and think that we have had an absolutely wonderful fans and what they did yesterday really shows how nice everyone is, says Ellen Wangerheim and continues:

- All the pep and love I get does so much to keep my spirits up so I can only send a mega thank you to our supporters.

Despite the love Wangerheim felt from the fans, it was difficult to follow the match from home.

- Yesterday was the first time the grief came to me properly after the injury.

I would have loved to celebrate the win and play derby on the spot with the team.

This trip will be up and down, but I will get through it and come back stronger, says Ellen Wangerheim.

Tributes to the medical team

Ellen Wangerheim tore off the choir in the meeting with BP on the twelfth of May and pays tribute to Hammarby's medical team.

- They saved my knee from swelling and I could have surgery early.

It has become much easier to be able to look ahead and start rehab so close to the injury, she says.

In addition to the damallsvenskan, Ellen Wangerheim will miss the European Championship finals with the F19 national team in the Czech Republic.
