"I'm relieved (...) because it's something that dragged on for months," said the young 23-year-old footballer at the microphone of Europe 1 on Tuesday.

"It had become my daily life, so I managed to get used to it. I knew that all of this surrounded me. Of course, to free myself from that, life will be more peaceful", continues Kylian Mbappé, who lists the various parameters that convinced him to extend with PSG until 2025.

Emmanuel Macron's "good advice"

"There is already the sporting side", indicates the number 7 of Paris Saint-Germain.

"The club came with a project, a real intention to restructure the whole club to really return to the top", he explains on Europe 1. "There is also the side of being French", adds the striker star of the Blues, supporting a statement made during his press conference on Monday.

"I know my importance in the country, I was reminded of it. And when you are a national figure, you have rights and duties too", explains Kylian Mbappé.

The young star also evokes the exchanges with the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, who gave him "good advice".

"He wanted me to stay, and that's part of the negotiations (...). I'm happy because despite everything we can say and do, it remains my decision," says Kylian Mbappé, who will therefore to be able to turn without pressure to the next matches of the France team at the beginning of June.
