Tottenham Hotspur's Son Heung-min has emerged as the first Asian to score in the English Premier League (EPL).

Heung-Min Son started in the final 38 round of the 2021-2022 EPL season against Norwich City at Caro Road, Norwich, England, and scored an additional goal with the help of Lucas Mora in the 25th minute of the second half, leading 3-0.

Then, in the 30th minute of the second half, he shook the net again with a right footed kick from the left side of the penalty tee, which was 'Heung-Min Son's John', making it 5-0.

Heung-Min Son, who increased his scoring for the season to 23 goals, became joint top scorer in the EPL with Mohamed Salawa (Liverpool) of Liverpool, who scored one goal as a substitute against Wolverhampton.

In the EPL, if the number of goals is the same, the players in question become joint top scorers without considering other records such as appearance time.

This is the first time for an Asian top scorer in the EPL, the world's most competitive and high-level professional football league.

Heung-Min Son is the first Asian to become the top scorer even if the scope is expanded to the five major leagues such as England, Spain, Germany, Italy, and France.

Iran's Alireza Jahanbakhsi (now Feyenoord, then AZ Alkmaar) scored 21 goals in the Eredivisie in the Netherlands in the 2017-2018 season and became the top scorer, but the Dutch league is not considered a big league.

Heung-Min Son wrote a new history in Asian and European football and finished the 2021-2022 season with a 'career high'.

In the EPL, he scored 23 goals and provided 7 assists, and if you add the UEFA Europa Conference League (UECL) record (1 goal and 1 assist), he recorded 24 goals and 8 assists in the official match.

It is his most goals in a season, both in league goals and in official matches.

Tottenham Hotspur, who scored a 5-0 victory with Son Heung-min's 2 goals, took the 5th place (69 points, 22 wins, 3 draws, 13 losses) by two points and took the 4th place (71 points, 22 wins, 5 draws and 11 losses), They have secured a place in the UEFA Champions League finals next season, which is awarded to the top 4 teams.

Tottenham will play in the UCL for the first time in three seasons since the 2018-2019 season.

Tottenham, who had been pushing Norwich hard from the start, took the lead with a goal from Dejan Klusevsky in the 16th minute of the first half.

Rodrigo Bentancourt caught a pass from Pierre-Emil Hoybjerg from the rear, and digged to the left of the goal area to pass a cutback to Klusevsky who was following.

Klusevsky opened the post with a light left-footed shot.

Tottenham took advantage of an error by Norwich goalkeeper Tim Krul to score an additional goal.

In the 32nd minute of the first half, Krul sent a clumsy pass to a teammate, and Bentancour intercepted a cross from the right side of the penalty area, which Kane finished with a diving header from the front of the post to make it 2-0.

As Tottenham took the lead, Son Heung-min actively attempted to shoot.

Son Heung-min swallowed a disappointment as it was a miss to connect a diagonal cross with a right-footed volley shot from the front of the goal area in the 34th minute of the first half.

'Best friend' Kane actively helped Son Heung-min become the top scorer.

However, they were blocked one after another by Kruul's saves.

In the 10th minute of the second half, Krull hit a pass from Harry Kane that Heung-Min Son finished with a left-footed shot from the left side of the goal area.

In the 15th minute of the second half, as Kane posted a low cross from the right, Heung-Min Son rushed into the door and finished with a left-footed non-stop shot.

A goal was expected by anyone, but Krull blocked it.

Even two minutes later, a sad scene came out.

Klusevsky passed the goalkeeper and passed to Heung-Min Son, who was running towards the empty goal.

But the pass is blocked by the defender.

If Klusevsky had passed earlier, Heung-Min Son would have been able to score enough.

Tottenham took a 3-0 run in the 19th minute after Klusevsky's left-footed kick shot from the right side of the goal area.

As the victory solidified, the teammates actively helped Son Heung-min score.

In the 25th minute of the second half, Mora passed Kane's forward pass to Son Heung-min with one touch.

Heung-Min Son scored a right-footed non-stop shot to the right of the post.

Son Heung-min, who scored the 22nd goal, scored one more goal after a knockout.

In the 30th minute of the second half, Heung-Min Son's shot from the left side of the penalty tee twisted sharply and landed in the upper right corner of Norwich's goal.

After Heung-Min Son reached the 23-goal mark first, Salah opened the season's last goal scorer against Wolverhampton, and Heung-Min Son eventually became the co-scorer.
