Johannes Stark is one of Eskilstuna Smederna's own drivers.

Stark grew up in Rinkeby, but found the speedway through his grandfather.

Today he is fighting for a regular place in the traditional club.

- He comes from our speedway school.

He comes there with his grandmother and grandfather.

24-year-old Johannes Stark lives for the sport and dreams of being the best.

But his father does not dare to see his son drive because of the fear that he will injure himself.

- If you ask my dad, he thinks I should quit.

He thinks it's a dangerous sport.

He has been saying this for several years.

It is clear that there is somewhere in the head that the father thinks it is scary, says Johannes Stark.

- I was against, but he did not listen.

He continued.

I do not want to check and something happens.

You crash and become disabled.

What is life then ?, says father Yacoub Saliba.

In SVT's documentary series, in four parts, the speedway season 2021 is depicted.

Before the start of the season, ruthless team selections take place.

The fastest drivers are hand-picked and expect huge pressure, crashes and fierce competition.
