The World Cup of Sport Climbing and Speed was held in the United States, and 17-year-old Karin Hayashi advanced to the women's final tournament, but was eliminated in the first round.

Sport climbing speed is an event that competes for the speed of climbing a wall 15 meters high.

At the Tokyo Olympics, it was held as one of the "composites" in which the overall results of the third event were contested, but at the Paris Olympics two years later, it will be held as a single event.

The second round of the World Cup this season was held in Salt Lake City, USA on the 20th, and in the women's qualifying round, 17-year-old Hayashi was 16th and 15-year-old Fumika Kawakami was 17th.

As a result, Hayashi advanced to the final tournament where the top 16 players competed one-on-one, and played against the Polish player who ranked first in qualifying in the first round.

Hayashi competed in the early stages, but after the middle stage, he was separated and lost in the first round.

Yudai Ikeda's 18th place was the highest among the Japanese men, and all five of them were eliminated in the qualifying.
