Toronto star William Nylander was named the World Cup's most valuable player in 2017 when Tre Kronor took World Cup gold.

Expectations are thus high when the 26-year-old has now joined the team, as a possible "savior".

- We'll see!

I hope you can help the team win, says Nylander.

Nylander comes from a great NHL season where he was noted for 80 points.

But his Toronto went awry in the quarterfinals, which required seven games against Tampa Bay.

- Always fun to be able to stand up for Sweden.

I hope that it does not happen in the future with Toronto and that we are still at this time, so I wanted to take the opportunity, says Nylander.

In the WC 2019, he did 1 + 4 against Norway, but he does not promise similar numbers now.

- We'll see.
