Magnus Hellberg and Marcus Högberg have started the World Cup tournament well, but now the competition is getting tougher when Boston's Linus Ullmark has joined the squad.

On Friday, he did his first training with blue and yellow and the national team captain Johan Garpenlöv did not want to leave any message if he can guard the goal against the USA on Saturday.

- Now we get a goalkeeper who broadens our goalkeeper side.

I look forward to seeing him play then we'll see if it's tomorrow or if it's later.

But Ullmark himself is ready for games already for Saturday's match.

- I'm happy to stand.

Every chance I get, I take it.

"May show that he should have the first spade"

But the reinforcement is not a given first goalkeeper for Sweden yet.

- Magnus Hellberg has played well here and we have a good goalkeeper pair so now he comes in and will have to play a match in the future and he will have to show that he should have the first spade.

It is a competition, of course, says national team captain Garpenlöv.

Ullmark is clear that he is happy to stand in all matches for the rest of the tournament.

- Yes, if it were the way they want to post it, I would very much like to do it, but there are many matches left.

There is a lot to do and you never know how it will go, but what motivates me is definitely to come here and win matches.

You can not come here and just hope that it will go well, but you have to set a little higher demands on yourself.

"Feels very fun"

The 28-year-old was disappointed when the journey in the Stanley Cup playoffs ended already in the first round for Boston.

But now he is ready for the World Cup finals with Tre Kronor instead.

- Now it went as it went.

I felt that I had good energy in my body, everything felt good so that once the question came, it was very inspiring and motivating to continue to extend the season for a while longer.

- It was a while ago that I had the opportunity.

So it feels very fun.
