Officially .. Al-Ahly calls on the Egyptian Football Association to replay the "Bank" match

Today, Friday, Al-Ahly club called on the Egyptian Football Association to replay its match with Al-Ahly Bank, which was held last Wednesday at the Arab Contractors Stadium, as part of the local league competitions, according to the Egyptian media.

Al-Ahly and Al-Ahly Bank met yesterday, Wednesday, at the “Arab Contractors” stadium, led by international referee Amin Omar, and ended in a negative draw.

The match witnessed a wide arbitration controversy due to the referee canceling a goal for Al-Ahly scored by Mahmoud Waheed, after returning to the video technology, which showed an error in executing a fixed ball before the goal.

Al-Ahly based its complaint on the fact that the match referee and the video assistant referee with him violated the provisions of the football law, and the VAR protocol, which was reported to all federations and referees in the world from the IFAB organization responsible for football law and its amendments.

Al-Ahly explained in his speech, that the video referee interfered in a matter that was not specific to him during the events of the match, and the referee of the arena responded by mistake as well, and this resulted in the cancellation of a valid goal, and depriving the team of a deserved victory, and the club paid the price for the clear mistake on the part of the two referees.
