St. Louis had a 2-0 lead after David Perron thundered in his first goal of the evening with four seconds left of the second period.

Gabriel Landeskog then lit a little hope for the home team when he poked in the reduction goal at the beginning of the third period.

Landeskog, which has now had four hits in the playoffs.

But instead of an equalizer for Colorado, Perron extended the lead for St. Louis halfway into the period, his seventh goal in the playoffs.

The Blues won the match 4-1 and Colorado's first loss in this year's playoffs was a fact.
