On May 19, local time, the International Olympic Committee held its executive committee in Lausanne to announce that the Chinese track and field men's 4X100m relay team won the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics.

  In the men's 4X100m final at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, the Chinese team consisting of Su Bingtian, Xie Zhenye, Wu Zhiqiang and Tang Xingqiang ran 37.79 seconds, ranking fourth, with Italy, Britain and Canada taking the top three name.

  The International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) issued an announcement on February 18 this year, finding that British sprinter Chikindu Uja violated anti-doping regulations during the Tokyo Olympics. Uja was in the men's 4X100m relay final and the men's 100m at the Tokyo Olympics. All achievements in the competition were cancelled and the silver medal won by the British team in the men's 4X100m relay final at the Tokyo Olympics was also stripped.

The Canadian team won the silver medal, and the Chinese team won the bronze medal.

This is also the first medal won by the Chinese men's 4X100m relay team at the Olympics.
