This weekend, the major competition PGA Championship will be decided in Oklahoma.

On Friday, the second round was played.

American Aaron Wise is one of the players who impresses.

He is in goal one over par and is on to the weekend.

But his competition could have ended prematurely.

During his second lap, he was hit by a ball in the head.

Be unprepared

It was the Australian star Cameron Smith's crooked shot, on the second hole, that hit an unprepared Wise.

- It only screamed in my ears for 20 seconds, Wise says afterwards.

He sat on his knees for a short while and cooled down the bulge with a water bottle.

Afterwards, the ice pack arrived.

- It released quite quickly, says Wise.
