The Emirates Falconry Federation reviews ways of cooperation with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment

Within the framework of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Emirates Falconry Federation to the Board of Directors of the Federation on the need to develop and enhance prospects for joint cooperation, and to coordinate efforts to achieve the aspirations and desired goals between the Federation and various partners from government agencies, the Emirates Falconry Federation reviewed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation With the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, with the aim of discussing the mechanism for developing legislation for falcons, supporting and developing the local production of falcons in the country, and reviewing the best practices used in the field of preserving and protecting the environment and ensuring sustainability.

This came in the meeting that was held at the headquarters of the Emirates Falcons Federation, Al Sheba, in Dubai, in the presence of Rashid bin Markhan, Secretary-General of the Federation, and each of the members of the Board of Directors, Demithan Sweidan Saeed Hilal Al Qamzi, Abdulaziz Sultan Al Ali, and Dr. Muhammad Fadlallah, the Federation’s advisor.

On the part of the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment, the Ministry's Assistant Undersecretary for the Biodiversity and Aquatic Biology Sector, Dr. Nasser Mohammed Sultan, and Head of the CITES Department Mona Al Shamsi were also present.

The meeting witnessed the discussion of proposals and developmental notes on the progress of work and discussion of some topics of common interest in light of the keenness of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Falconry Federation headed by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to activate partnerships with all authorities and bodies at the state level, to serve the march of falconry and support Its work system in all administrative, organizational and legal aspects.

Rashid bin Markhan stressed the importance of building bridges of communication and cooperation between all parties within the framework of the integrated comprehensive vision that the Union seeks to implement in its various dealings, based on its belief in the role of cooperation and coordination with other parties, which are closely linked with the Union in all its programs and activities.

Bin Markhan pointed out that this type of meeting and coordination meetings opens the way to exchange experiences and learn about the latest developments and updates adopted by the authorities, in order to ensure that they are directly accessed and circulated to all those affiliated with the sport of falconry.

The Secretary-General of the Emirates Falcon Federation thanked and appreciated the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment for its fruitful cooperation and its keenness to hold coordination meetings with the Federation, in a way that serves both sides and is in the interest of the state in general.
