Russian gymnast Kulyak was banned for a year for showing the letter Z on the form

This was reported in a press release from the department.

Kulyak was ordered to return the bronze medal won in exercises on parallel bars and prize money in the amount of 500 Swiss francs (about $500).

The athlete will be able to appeal this decision within 21 days.

Recall that the Russian came out with the letter Z on the form at the awards ceremony at the World Cup.

He later stated that he did this in response to the behavior of the Ukrainians, who were disrespectful towards Russian athletes throughout the tournament.

FIG proposed to disqualify Kulyak and two Russian coaches for a year for such behavior.

Earlier, Kulyak reacted to FIG's decision about his possible disqualification.

President of the Artistic Gymnastics Federation of Russia Vasily Titov commented on the disciplinary case against Kulyak.
