Forbes magazine revealed the list of the highest-paid athletes in 2022, led by Argentine star, Lionel Messi, with annual profits of 130 million dollars before taxes, surpassing American basketball star LeBron James (121.2 million dollars), who ranked second, and Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, who came in third place ($115 million), and Brazilian Neymar came in fourth place ($95 million).
Messi had financially benefited from his departure from Barcelona, whose legend was associated with him in recent years, after he moved to Paris Saint-Germain.
