Jonna Sundling dominated at the Olympics, Maja Dahlqvist won the World Cup and from below it is filled with interesting talents such as Johanna Hagström and Moa Hansson.

In addition, we have Frida Karlsson and Linn Svahn who on a good day can beat almost anyone in the sprint.

In other words, it looks really good for the Swedish part ahead of the upcoming sprint season, especially considering that the stars Maiken Caspersen Falla (quits) and Annamarija Lampic (switches to biathlon) will not start this year.

- There is nothing that I have reflected so much on now, but I think there will be new ones from below.

I am such a person who does not care so much about others, I focus very much on myself and sometimes I do not even know who I stand next to on the starting line, my partner knows more about the skiers I meet than I do myself, says Jonna Sundling to SVT Sport.

"Many talented"

That the Swedish skiers may dominate this year's season is not something Sundling reflected on:

We will see, we are working towards getting better and better and faster.

There are very many talented people and that we Swedes should dominate is not something you take for granted when you stand on the starting line, you can not do that.

If it were, Johanna Hagström does not see it as a problem after all the years of Norwegian dominance.

- Right now it is Norway that dominates a lot in skiing so I think it's just good that someone will take over a bit, it will probably be worse if it is Norway again that dominates even more, says Hagström.
