Sweden has played four P17 European Championships over the years.

Best of all was the 96-litter who made it to the finals in 2013 and qualified for the P17 WC where it later became bronze.

Now the 2005 boys hope to be able to repeat the feat.

The championship against Denmark begins on Tuesday.

Sweden has ended up in a group with, in addition to the Danes, Portugal and Scotland.

- We have a very individual class, at the same time as we are good as a group.

We listen to each other and work incredibly hard.

We want to achieve the same goal.

It is to win the European Championships.

We know that Denmark is very strong and skilled.

Portugal has also been very good during the qualifiers.

We do not know as much about Scotland, but have heard that they have done very well.

We know that all matches will be tough, but we know we can win, says Emmanuel Tannor.

However, the team will have to do without FC Copenhagen's great talent Roony Bardghji, who will not be released by the club, and Varberg's Montander Madjed who refused for personal reasons.

- It is tough that we lose two important players in the squad, who contributed a lot.

Where Madjed scored three goals in the qualifiers to almost get us here I would say, and Bardghji who was fantastic all the way through.

It's tough, but we have to make the best of the situation and the best we can.

We are a really good team both with and without them, says Tannor.

Foreign professionals in Italy

The 17-year-old plays everyday in the Serie B club Parma, but has spent most of his time in the U18 and in the Primavera team.

- I never thought a year ago that I would talk about being a foreign professional in Italy.

And now soon made two seasons.

It's a dream.

It is unbelievable.

It is almost impossible to describe what it is like to be able to do what you love every day, says the striker who has Kållered SK as his mother club.

How far is the step up to Parma's A-team right now?

- Not so far.

I train with the A-team almost continuously and know everyone there.

But you never know.

Even though he was only in Parma for one season, is Parma a bit of a Dejan Kulusevski country?

- Yes, he made a real impression, you could say.

You still hear about him in Parma.

Do people in Parma expect you to be the next Dejan?

- Almost.

But still not.

As a player, you have to like those moments where people have expectations of you.

Then it almost gives you a push that you can almost better.

I would say that, says Tannor.

SVT broadcasts the entire championship.

The European Championship premiere Sweden-Denmark will be broadcast on SVT Play tomorrow 17/5.

The broadcast starts at 16.25.
