Most people probably thought that it could not get much worse for Gif Sundsvall after they lost a seemingly safe 2-0 lead to a 3-2 loss during the last ten minutes of the home match against bottom colleague Degerfors.

But in Sunday afternoon's away meeting with IFK Norrköping, they showed that they can do even worse.

It took only four minutes before the home team's Christoffer Nyman sent in 1-0 after a really nice preparation by Jacob Ortmark.

And it would get worse.

Much worse.

In the 27th minute, Jonathan Levi sent in 2-0 after being invited to an ocean of space by the Sundsvall defense.

Four minutes later, Ortmark nodded in 3-0 on a corner and before the half was over, Levi had fixed 4-0.

At half time, it was an extremely disappointed Gif Sundsvall captain who was interviewed by Discovery +.

- It's hard to say anything positive, we do not work organizationally, we do not work individually, we can not even beat two passes in the team and every fucking time they come into the box it is a hell of a goal, I do not know what I should say without having to regret anything, says Pontus Silfwer and continues:

- There must be some form of pride and a will to defend the mark on the chest, that is the only thing we can do because now nothing works, we can only try to show some fucking form of pride if there is anyone left.

"Looks like a boys team"

Yes, if you have to find something positive in the second half, it was that the Giffars conceded fewer goals, but no further promotion was still possible.

IFK Norrköping continued to dominate completely and had it not been for a couple of good interventions by Sundsvall's goalkeeper Gustav Molin, the loss figures would have been greater.

Jacob Ortmark, however, managed to sprinkle a little more salt in the open Gif wounds when he sent in 5-0 via the crossbar in the 70th minute before something positive happened in Sundsvallsväg with Saku Ylätupa's 5-1 reduction.

- I think it's one of the toughest matches I've played in my whole life, nothing works and we look like a boys team out there, it's boys against men.

But we can not lie down and die, it is not the case that the series is decided in any way.

We have lots of things to work on and we get to look at ourselves in the mirror as many times before and try to get this ship in order, says Silfwer.

The victory was IFK Norrköping's fourth straight after a shaky start to the season.

- I think we do what we should do today.

An incredibly nice effort, says Jonathan Levi to Discovery +.
