Liverpool won the FA Cup after beating Chelsea 5-6 on penalties, after the end of the final match that took place at Wembley Stadium in a goalless draw.

In the penalty shootout, James Milner, Thiago Alcantara, Roberto Firmino, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota, Costas Tsimikas and Sadio Mane missed.

While Marcos Alonso, Reyes James, Ross Barkley, Jorginho, Hakim Ziyech, and Cesar Azpilicueta and Mason Monte scored for Chelsea.

Liverpool won the FA Cup for the eighth time in its history, and the first after 16 years, as the last title won by the team in this competition is due to the 2005-2006 season.

Liverpool won their second title this season after winning the League Cup earlier, to continue the club's journey towards a historic quartet.

The team led by German coach Jurgen Klopp continues to compete for the English Premier League title, and is three points behind leaders Manchester City, two rounds before the end of the season, and will face Real Madrid in the Champions League final on May 28.
