Al-Ahly of Egypt qualified for the African Champions League final, despite its 2-2 draw against its Algerian host, ES Setif, and the Egyptian club benefited from its superiority in the first leg.

The first half ended with a 1-1 draw, as Al-Ahly advanced with a goal scored by Ahmed Abdel Qader in the second minute, and Ahmed El-Kandoussi tied for ES Setif in the first minute of stoppage time for the first half.

In the second half, Riyad Bin Ayyad scored the second goal for Al-Wefaq in the 61st minute, and Adel Al-Ahly scored a goal by Mohamed Sharif in the second minute of overtime for the match.

The first-leg match that was held in Cairo ended with Al-Ahly winning 4-0, to reach the final, winning the aggregate of the home and away matches 6-2.

Al-Ahly, the defending champion, joined the Moroccan club Wydad, who beat Petro Atlético of Angola 4-2 in the total of the first and second matches.

Al-Ahly qualified for the final round for the third time in a row, and seeks to raise its tally to 11 titles, at the top of the most winning teams in the competition.

The final is scheduled to take place on 30 May in Morocco.
