Goalkeeper Marwin Hitz is leaving Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.

The Swiss announced this on Instagram on Saturday morning.

Hitz switched from FC Augsburg to BVB four years ago.

Hitz's greatest success with the club was the DFB Cup victory in 2021.

“Four years in black and yellow!

Even though it wasn't easy for me, I decided to take on a new challenge," Hitz wrote.

The contract of the representative and compatriot of regular goalkeeper Gregor Kobel actually runs until 2023.

In March, the former number one Roman Bürki announced that he was leaving BVB in the summer and going to St. Louis City SC from the North American Major League Soccer (MLS).

Bürki, also Swiss, was also tied to BVB until 2023.

The contract is terminated.

Bellingham wants to stay

On the other hand, Jude Bellingham sees his future at Borussia Dortmund.

"I'll be here next season and I'll be ready," announced the 18-year-old midfielder.

Despite his young age, the Englishman is a leading player at BVB.

His contract runs until June 30, 2025.

Nevertheless, Bellingham has recently been repeatedly associated with rumors of transfers in the media.

At least next season he will stay with Borussia and has big goals.

With Dortmund, Bellingham hopes to be able to end Bayern Munich's dominance.

"Breaking a ten-year streak would be incredible for Borussia Dortmund and for me personally, and that's why we're attacking again next season," said the England international.

"It would be one of the greatest achievements in Europe to beat this team that has been dominant for so long," he added.
