<Reporter> Oh Sang-wook,

the world's No. 1 individual, defeated his national team eldest brother Jeong-hwan Kim in the semifinals to advance to the finals. After 14 months, he won a gold medal in the individual event and stood on the podium alongside bronze medalist Kim Jeong-hwan.

In the group event with Bon-gil Koo and Jun-ho Kim, the Korean saber was in a state of disrepair.

Oh Sang-wook, who was the last runner in the final against Hungary, succeeded in scoring four consecutive goals against Silage, the gold medalist in the individual event at the Tokyo Olympics, leading to a 13-point victory.

Two-time winner Sang-wook Oh turned the ball to his roommate Jung-hwan Kim.

[Oh Sang-wook / National Fencing Saber: (Jung Hwan-i hyung) sat on the second side and coached me a lot (even in the individual event).

I think I was very grateful.]

Kim Jung-hwan, 38, who was preparing for retirement at the end of this year, strengthened his will by saying that he would achieve the ultimate beauty at the Hangzhou Asian Games next year, which was delayed by a year.

[Kim Jung-hwan / National Fencing Saber: I came here for the Asian Games goal, but what I have been aiming for is acting.

We are aiming to prepare for a more perfect match.] The

women's saber national team also defeated their enemy Japan and took the top spot.

Kim Ji-yeon, the 34-year-old eldest sister, took on the role of an ace without changing, and climbed to the top of the World Cup for the second time in a row, leaping to the top of the group world rankings.
