Ingvild Flugstad Östberg was poked from the Norwegian national team squad for next season, now the ski star takes the blade from his mouth.

Östberg has had health problems in recent seasons and has therefore not competed as much as she would have liked.

Among other things, she has been stopped by the national team management because she did not meet the existing health requirements.

In November, she made a comeback on the ski track, but was quickly banned from starting again.

It is the relationship between training and nutrition that did not work for Östberg that was stopped for the first time in 2019.

"Thousand thanks"

In a post on Instagram, she thanks the national team for this time.

"Thank you so much for 14 fantastic years in the national team ... I have experienced and achieved more than I could ever dream of," writes Østberg.

She also clarifies that she will continue to invest, albeit outside the national team squad.

"The road ahead will be different and challenging, but I look forward to working hard to become a better skier."
