Shim Seok-hee, who returned after the controversy over gossip with colleagues, won the second round of 500m in the 2022-2023 season.

Shim Seok-hee took first place in the women's 500m final at the Men's and Women's Comprehensive Short Track Speed Skating Championships and National Team 2nd Round held at the Taereung Ice Rink in Seoul with a record of 43.517.

Park Ji-won was in second place with a time of 43.611, and Lee So-yeon was third with 43.674.

Shim Seok-hee, who placed 3rd in the women's overall in the first round, continued the trend in her second tournament.

During the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Shim Suk-hee, who was accused of gossiping with Choi Min-jeong and Kim A-rang through text messages with her national team coach, was suspended from qualifications by the Ice Skating Federation in December last year, after which she received a two-month disciplinary action. .

If Shim Seok-hee is selected for the national team, she will continue to accompany 'ace' Choi Min-jung.

Choi Min-jung won the women's division at the World Championships last month and was automatically selected for the national team for the 2022-2023 season.

In the women's 1,500m today (the 7th), Gil-ri Kim (Hyun-Seo Seo) passed the finish line first at 2:41.473, followed by So-yeon Lee (2:41.772) and Kun-hee Kim (Dankook University, 2:41.845).

Shim Seok-hee finished fifth with a time of 2:42.050.

In the men's 500m, Kim Tae-seong (Dankook University, 40 seconds 948) took the gold medal and in the 1,500 m, Park Ji-won (Seoul City Hall, 2:13.771) took the gold medal.

In the first and second rounds, athletes compete in four events: 500m, 1,000m, 1,500m, and 3,000m Super Final, and the overall ranking is determined by adding up the ranking scores.

In the men's division with Choi Min-jung, Lee Jun-seo (Korea National University of Sports) placed 3rd at the World Championships, securing the Taegeuk mark for the 2022-2023 season regardless of the result of the preliminary round.
