20-year-old Fossesholm broke through the 2020-2021 season but trained too hard before the Olympics in Beijing and packed up ski equipment there.

Now she is moving the six miles from Vestfossen to central Oslo to take part in better training opportunities and benefit from Therese Johaug's knowledge and experience.

The proximity to the Olympic Summit (Norwegian SOK) also attracts.

- She has admittedly quit but will not stop skiing.

She has also promised me a trip in Sörkedalen so I get Oslo's best guide, says Fossesholm about Johaug and the nature area in northwest Oslo which is popular for its ski trails.

Nothing exists after Johaug

After the bang last winter, which was reminiscent of the one that Frida Karlsson went on, Fossesholm is now training quite smelly.

- The dumbest thing I can do is to start with hard workouts too soon, says Fossesholm to VG.

Last season, Therese Johaug became the best Norwegian in the overall World Cup with a fifth place, which is explained by the fact that she did not ride the Tour de Ski.

Heidi Weng was sixth, Tiril Udnes Weng 16th, Maiken Caspersen Falla 22nd and Mathilde Myrvold 23rd.

Therese Johaug took three individual golds in the distance races in the Beijing Olympics, but behind her it was thin with Norwegian success.

Lotta Udnes Weng was best with a 13th place in 30 km free.
