In 1998, Malin Baryard-Johnsson made her World Cup debut.

Now, 24 years later, the show jumper is highly relevant to once again take a place in the Swedish team that travels to the World Cup in Herning, Denmark in August.

- We hope to be about the same gang as at the Olympics, so we have high hopes and expectations of ourselves.

If we have the best possible team, there is not much else but to go for the gold, of course.

When SVT Sport meets Baryard-Johnsson, she is in Stockholm City Hall to, together with a bunch of other Olympians, celebrate the summer and winter Olympic successes.

Together with Henrik von Eckermann and Peder Fredricson, Baryard-Johnsson won Olympic gold in team jumping in Tokyo last summer - her first championship gold in her career.

- It has meant a lot to us who were there and rode.

It was a huge re-ignition to actually succeed.

There are very many who have seen and followed one and come forward and congratulate, pepper and cheer, says Baryard-Johnsson, who after two team silver at the European Championships, two team silver at the World Cup and one team silver at the Olympics, finally got to step on top of the podium.

But despite a long and successful career, Baryard-Johnsson still lacks an individual championship medal.

- I'm also hungry for that, absolutely, she says and states:

- Whoever manages to dot the form and has his best days in life will also win that day.

Just like at the Olympics, it is Indiana that will get the chance at the World Cup, if Baryard-Johnsson is selected.

At present she has no other horse ready to go to a championship.

- As long as me and fantastic Indiana are in shape, we have a very good chance of being selected.

What details will you hone extra on before the World Cup?

- Not so many details really.

I know that if we are in good shape, we have something to do there.

The shape is the most important thing, to succeed in dotting it.

But it's not always easy.
