Dubai participates in the "Wings for Life" race

The world will be on a date with the charitable global “Wings for Life” race, which takes place on the eighth of this month at the same time in most cities around the world, covering night, day, winter and summer in 13 time zones that include the six continents, and without a line End, and Dubai, Kuwait, Jeddah, Doha, Muscat, Oman and Beirut will be among them.

Their residents will participate through the application via their smartphones in conjunction with the rest of the world's cities.

The event has been held annually in May since 2014, when runners and wheelchair users support Wings for Life with their racing fees to make spinal cord injuries curable.

In the Wings for Life global race, all runners and wheelchair users start at exactly the same time, at 11 am GMT.

So it will start at 2 pm in Jeddah, Doha, Kuwait, Beirut, Amman and 3 pm in Dubai and Muscat, in Tokyo at 10 pm, and in New York at 7 am.

Another special feature is the possibility that the participant is able to run for as long as possible, not towards a predetermined finish line.

How is it?

30 minutes after the start signal, the "chasing car" starts moving and gradually increases its speed, passing one participant after another until the winner is left alone.

The special thing about this is that everyone who participates in the Wings for Life World Race will be able to finish the race.

The starting range is the widest and most varied of any race.
