Pontus Aspgren, who had the highest average in Smederna last season, crashed in the European Championship qualifiers last Saturday and injured his hand.
Due to that, he was forced to give up tonight's premiere against Rospiggarna at home in Eskilstuna.
But in the star's absence, the other stepped forward.
Robert Lambert and Dan Bewley, who both made their new club debuts, excelled.
Lambert drove in a total of 14 + 3 on his six heats and for Bewley it was 15 + 1 on as many heats.
- It was a fantastic competition to start the season with for Eskilstuna.
I think it shows how hard the team management has worked to put this team together to make good results on the track, says Lambert.
The English showed the way with a five already in the first heat.
There were fives even in heat seven and in the last heat.
- Every time together we have taken fives so far.
This is the first time I form a couple with him apart from the World Cup and I enjoyed it, says Bewley.
Lambert:
- It was good park driving.
And I think together we will take more fives this season.
The blacksmiths won 59-31.
