A Manchester City fan called for Pep Guardiola to be sacked due to his failure in the Champions League.

And his team failed over the years in Europe, as the Blues suffered a dramatic semi-final defeat against Real Madrid on Wednesday, despite the English team advancing 5-3 on aggregate in the 90th minute of the match.

Rodrygo scored two late goals before Karim Benzema won from the penalty spot to book his place against Liverpool.

As for Manchester City, they go to another season without European success, with one fan insisting that the board of directors must be re-evaluated in order to achieve glory in the Champions League.

Man City fan Sam said the club needed to replace Guardiola in an amazing fanfare.

One fan said, "The board of directors needs to be reassessed. We need a manager who wins at this level. We did everything at the local level, but we cannot repeat the achievement in the Champions League."

“The board need to re-evaluate.

We need a manager that wins at this level.”

“We've done everything at the domestic level, but we can't do it in the #UCL.”

“We need a manager who can perform.”

Man City can save the season with the Premier League title, and Guardiola says after Wednesday's defeat that his team needs two days to adapt to the loss.

"We need a day or two but we will get up and we will come... We will do it with our fans. We did everything we could, we were really close, but in the end we couldn't do it," he said.

It is noteworthy that Guardiola has lost the most matches in the Champions League semi-finals (6 times).

🗣 "It's tough for us, we cannot deny it"

When asked if this was the most difficult European evening for him in his coaching career, Guardiola replied, "I had bad defeats in the Champions League before, like Barcelona against Chelsea when we played two exceptional matches and could not reach the final. But yes, it is difficult, we cannot Denying it.. we were very close to reaching the Champions League final. We didn't play well in the first half but we were a lot better in the second half, we controlled the game and scored the goal, and unfortunately we couldn't finish the job."

Football fans in general, and Manchester City and Liverpool in particular, are waiting to know the impact of excluding Manchester City in this way on the team's campaign to preserve its title as the Premier League champion, and if it will stumble in the last meters and come out with a zero season or not.
