On March 22, Charlotte Kalla announced that the 2021/22 season will be her last as a cross-country skier at the elite level.

Since then, there has been speculation about what the 34-year-old will do after his career and the Ski Association has confirmed that they have held talks with Kalla about various job offers.

Kalla tells SVT Sport that there is an offer from the Swedish Ski Association and that the offer attracts.

- Yes, but there are some ideas and thoughts but I will try not to jump on too many projects, but feel that I find some kind of balance between what I should do, says Charlotte Kalla.

- There are a few projects to tackle to ensure that the regrowth in Swedish cross-country skiing is good and that resources are invested in the right way.

There I think I have knowledge and experience.

Is regrowth an area that attracts you?

- Yes, it is an area where I feel I could influence.

It is also a matter of the heart that there should be joy in cross-country skiing also in the future.

What is required from the union's side for you to say yes?

- That it is a clear and distinct job description and that there is space in my life.

The Swedish Championship bronze in the three-mile race in Piteå at the end of March was Kalla's last race.

Since then, she has enjoyed her new life.

- I am very curious about what the future will be like.

Since then I have enjoyed spending time with family and friends and I have spent some time in the mountains.

It has been an energetic spring, she says.
