The Hauts-de-Seine department announced on April 21 that it had become one of the official partners of the Tour de France for the next three years.
The territory is committed as sponsor of the team classification, obtaining the sponsorship of the yellow bib of the best formation, indicates Actu Hauts-de-Seine.
A bib and a new distinction
A weekly prize for the best team member, specially designed for Hauts-de-Seine, will also be awarded by the public.
The big loop will be held this year from July 1 to 24.
The department will therefore host the start of the last stage of the cycling race, which will be given at Paris La Défense Arena, in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine).
This new partnership highlights the historic link between the department and the Tour de France.
The pioneers of the first edition of 1903 had finished the race in Ville-d'Avray and the Grand Départ of the event was given in 1986 in Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine).
