Liverpool FC has reached the final of the Champions League with coach Jürgen Klopp and kept his chances of four titles this football season.

The Premier League club won the second leg of the semi-finals at Villarreal after a tough fight 3-2 (0-2) and advanced to the final of the European premier class on May 28 in Paris.

Liverpool won the first leg 2-0 on Wednesday last week.

The opponent will be determined on Wednesday (9 p.m./in the FAZ live ticker for the Champions League and on DAZN) between Real Madrid and Manchester City (first leg: 4: 3 for City).

Liverpool FC still have further title chances in the championship and in the FA Cup, the Reds had already won the League Cup this year.

Villarreal, who knocked Bayern Munich out of the competition in the quarter-finals, had taken a 2-0 lead through Boulaye Dia (3') and Francis Coquelin (41') and had made up for the deficit from the first game.

With Fabinho (62'), Luis Diaz (67') and Sadio Mané (74'), Liverpool managed to turn things around in a strong second half.

In the final phase, Villarreal's Etienne Capoue (86th) saw the yellow-red card.
