Recently, team captains in the Allsvenskan and Superettan for Göteborgs-Posten opened up about threats and hatred.

Just before the move to Blåvitt this summer, Marcus Berg received threats and hatred.

All due to a missed finish for Sweden in the European Championships.

- It's just a matter of lowering the person and their loved ones.

It's a sick behavior.

Unfortunately, it exists in society today.

I hope it disappears as soon as possible.

He develops:

- You can think and think what you want about who you want, but you do not have to say it and get it out.

I have a hard time understanding what it should give people who make such a comment.

It is not just against football players or a public figure, it is a societal problem that can affect young people.

"A harmony"

After the summer, however, a more enjoyable period awaited Berg.

A time he has so far spent in his team, in his city.

- It is clear that the very feeling of moving home is fantastic and to be able to play in Blåvitt, there is nothing better.

It's pretty much something you've dreamed of all along, getting to come back one day.

How has it been for the family?

- It has been fantastic.

The children have been given a different social life and that is probably the wonderful feeling, that you see how the children thrive.

It's a harmony.

Every day on the way here or on the way home you feel calm.

And I'm incredibly happy to be here again.

"Have knowledge ..."

Many players who are at the end of their careers talk about life after football.

How do you look at it?

- It is clear that I have been in football all my life.

Then it's about whether you can teach it.

Whether it's on the field with young people or in an A-team, I have no idea.

But it is clear that football is close to your heart and something you have always done and have knowledge of, hopefully.

Say that IFK Gothenburg disproves everyone and takes a Swedish Championship gold.

Will it be the shoes on the shelf then?

Is it an optimal ending?

- Haha, that would have been it.

But it is far ahead.

There is a lot that can happen and nothing I focus on, but it is only here and now.
