"In order to be consistent with the definition of the road running event in the IAAF competition rules, standardize the standard distance of the event, and facilitate the matching with the IAAF point system, according to the description of the project in the IAAF competition rules, the 'marathon' has been uniformly changed. For the 'road run', the standard race distances are set to 5km, 10km, 15km, 20km, half marathon, 25km, 30km, marathon and road relay. The Chinese Athletics Association's Road Running Event Management Measures clarifies the definition and distance setting of road running events, and mentions that, in light of the actual development of road running events in China, 100 kilometers will not be included in the scope of road running events for the time being.

In addition, in order to optimize the industry image and make the healthy and upward image of Chinese road running more popular, the Chinese Athletics Association has also launched a new Chinese road running LOGO with running people and the Chinese character "horse" as the main design, which will be applied to the official website of the China Marathon, China marathon public account, certification event publicity, etc.
Major adjustments have also been made to the anti-doping management measures of the Chinese Athletics Association.
In order to extend the anti-doping work to a wider range of mass sports and improve the anti-doping awareness of the whole society, the newly revised "Chinese Athletics Association Anti-doping Work Management Measures for Road Running Events" clearly defines the need to comply with anti-doping work management. The specified range of athletes; it is clarified that the event organizing committee should provide the name, ranking, inspection unit and other information to the Anti-Doping Office of the Chinese Athletics Association within 12 hours after the completion of the competition; Entry requirements, etc.
All the above documents are included in the newly released "Compilation of Chinese Athletics Association Road Running Management Documents (2022)".
The management documents are compiled into 23 documents after the adjustment of the framework, which are divided into two categories: documents of the central government, the General Administration of Sport and relevant ministries and commissions, as well as the normative documents and notices of the association.
Seven competition organization management documents, including the "Chinese Athletics Association Road Running Event Certification Management Measures", "Chinese Athletics Association Road Running Competition Supervision and Management Measures", and "Chinese Athletics Association Road Running Event Operating Companies Management Measures" have been improved and revised.
The Chinese Athletics Association stated that the purpose of this revision of the management document is to adapt to the new situation and new requirements of the current development of road running events, and to promote the standardization and order of the national road running industry, further improve the quality, and develop and grow.
In the follow-up, the association will organize relevant supporting training and interpretation, and provide policy services for various grading supervision units and event companies.
The meeting also updated the LOGO of the mass track and field fitness standard events and the member LOGO of the Chinese Athletics Association.
