Sharjah bid farewell to "Asian" by losing in the "duty" match against Al-Istiklal

The Sharjah team concluded its participation in the AFC Champions League by losing to Istiklal Dushanbe, Tajikistan’s last place in the standings of Group A teams, with two clean goals, scored by Eric Bokum “14” and Vadislav Kozmin “90”, during the meeting that brought them together yesterday at King Fahd Stadium in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, in the round. Sixth and last.

This is the third loss for Sharjah, after it lost against Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia and Al Rayyan of Qatar, while it won only one match, drew in two matches and scored only five points, occupying third place behind the leaders Al Hilal with 13 points, with a goal difference from Al Rayyan, the second place with 13 points as well.

Sharjah did not provide the required technical response, especially after the team lost the opportunity to compete for the ticket to qualify for the next round in the tournament, and the team lost its main goalkeeper, Adel Al Hosani, due to a cruciate ligament injury in the team's previous match against Al Hilal.

Al Hilal guaranteed qualification directly to the next round, despite the loss, as it maintained the lead, while Al Rayyan qualified as one of the best seconds in the five groups in the tournament.
