Last fall, Patrice Evra broke the silence by revealing that he had been sexually abused as a child.

A trauma which was not the only one of the French international, now retired, in his young years.

On the BBC antenna, the former Manchester United side revealed that when he was 13, he had sold drugs and begged in front of a store.

“Sometimes, even at midnight, when they threw the cold Big Macs away, we went to the trash,” he says.

“Football saved me, engages the native of Dakar.

When I was 17, I traveled to Italy.

I remember when we arrived we were seated the whole time and they were serving us food.

I went into my room, I called my mother and said to her: "Mom, here it is like paradise, people serve us food, with two forks on one side and two knives on the other ."

It's a beautiful novel, it's a beautiful story.
