Meeting in a general meeting on Tuesday, the Ukrainian clubs decided to end the football championship season early, suspended in February due to the Russian offensive in Ukraine, without awarding the title of champion.

"The ranking as of February 24, 2022 will be the final ranking for the 2021-2022 season and no title will be awarded," wrote the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) in a statement posted on its website.

“This decision has been submitted for approval to the executive committee of the Ukrainian football federation”, specifies the UPL.

Shakhtar Donetsk, leader of the championship in front of Dynamo kyiv at the time of the stoppage of the championship, therefore does not win the title of champion but should inherit the first qualifying place giving access to the preliminary rounds of the Champions League, as well as the Dynamo, second.
