Frida Karlsson had a heavy Olympics, both physically and mentally. Then her friend Maja Dahlqvist played an extra important role - not least during the drama that took place in the hotel room. - It was like when people come home late from the nightclub a little too drunk, that feeling a little close. At the Olympics, it became so clear that I needed someone who was really there, says Karlsson to SVT Sport.

During the initial Olympic race, Frida Karlsson pulled herself out so much that she fainted afterwards.

- After that race it was completely run, then I do not recognize the body at all, says Frida Karlsson.

- I was like gone, I did not experience much.

I was like fainted.

I could wake up a little and then the doctor was there and poured juice into me.

When Karlsson returned to the hotel, she was still not feeling well, so her roommate Maja Dahlqvist took care of her.

- She goes to bed with all her clothes on and falls asleep.

I just "but wait, this is uncomfortable, you can not sleep now" because she will be completely gone, Dahlqvist told earlier in the talk show Carina Bergfeldt.

Dahlqvist then got Karlsson into the shower, but there she fell asleep on the floor.

- At the same time, I pour juice into her because she has to get warm and get energy.

It was still uncomfortable I think.

Then I thought "what are we doing, are we going to compete and try to win medals and then we are completely fainted?".

Frida Karlsson describes Dahlqvist as one of the most important figures in her life.

And the fact that Dahlqvist was present in the Olympic village meant a lot.

- She is always there, regardless of whether I go fast on the skis or slowly, a really supportive friend in tough situations.

- At the Olympics, it became so clear that I needed someone who was really there and took it down to the right level.

It's still sports and sports are entertainment and really nothing major if you look at it in a broader perspective.

I'm still the same Frida Karlsson, the happy girl as well.

It should just be fun to do what we do, it's like nothing really important.
