Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo has scored his 100th goal in the English Premier League after returning from the recent loss of his son.

Ronaldo started as Manchester United's front-line striker in the 2021-2022 EPL Round 34 away match against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in London, England, and scored a goal in the 34th minute when the team was lead 0-2.

It was Ronaldo's 100th goal in the Premier League.

Ronaldo joined Manchester United in 2003 after playing for Sporting CP in Portugal, where he played until 2008-2009, scoring 84 goals in the Premier League.

After that, he played for Real Madrid (Spain) and Juventus (Italy) before returning to Manchester United at the end of August last year, scoring 16 goals this season and scoring 100 goals.

According to Opta, a football statistics company, Ronaldo is the fourth player to score 100 goals in the Premier League for Manchester United after Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney.

It was a significant goal, but Ronaldo couldn't laugh to his heart's content.

Ronaldo has been deeply saddened by his recent family affairs, the death of a son during the birth of twins to his lover Georgina Rodriguez.

Because of this, Ronaldo was absent from the last match against Liverpool and returned to score the same day.

In the 34th minute of the first half, Ronaldo shook the net after finishing a cross from Nemanja Matic from the right side of the goal area with his left foot.

After applause in the 7th minute in line with Ronaldo's jersey number 7 at Anfield, Liverpool's home stadium, in the last match, fans from both teams consoled Ronaldo with applause at the same time at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal laughed at the match result.

Arsenal defeated Manchester United 3-1 and broke through 60 points with two consecutive wins, leaping to fourth place, and again took the lead in the fight for fourth place, which is the limit for the UEFA Champions League (UCL).

Nuno Tavares took the lead in the 3rd minute and Bukayo Saka's penalty goal in the 32nd minute gave Arsenal a lead in the first half.

On the other hand, Manchester United, which suffered two consecutive losses following Liverpool's last match, stagnated at 54 points and finished sixth after Arsenal and Tottenham (58 points).

Manchester United played one more game than Arsenal and Tottenham and had four games left, putting them at a disadvantage in the race to qualify for the UCL.
