Sweden is represented by the siblings Wranå, Isabella and Rasmus, 35th in the world rankings, at the World Cup in mixed doubles in Geneva, Switzerland.

The duo is led by coach Andreas Prytz and national team captain Alison Kreviazuk in what this year is the 14th edition of the World Cup.

And there was a real family battle in the premiere of the championship.

The Swedes faced the Norwegian siblings Maia and Magnus Ramsfjell, ranked 89th in the world.

Sweden got off to a good start and picked up 2-0 in the first round.

After that, the team took turns collecting points before Sweden from round five switched up.

The blue and yellows won in the end with 7-4 (2-0, 0-1, 1-0, 0-1, 2-0, 0-1, 2-0, 0-1) and have thus got a comfortable start on the championship.

The World Cup consists of 20 teams divided into two round-robin groups.

In the group game, nine matches are played per team where Sweden will meet all the teams in their group.

The table advances to the semifinals and the second and third respectively advance to the quarterfinals.

Later on Saturday, 18.00, Sweden will face Switzerland in the second group game.
